Friends changes but the bonds never ends | Prachi Kulkarni

But a story is just about teaching and pleasing at the same time, and what it teaches is how to recognize the traps of the world," wrote Umberto Eco. Such traps can be of many kinds: physical, psychological, and moral. These influences can be obvious or subtle, and they lead to decisions that ultimately affect our lives. Therefore, stories can be a powerful tool to help us recognize and avoid those traps. It's time again for another emotional story from me. I can't help but remember my childhood when reading this story. Here we go! Results for the SSC were forthcoming, and the season of results was underway. Everyone including me and my friends was under lots of pressure, and finally, the day arrived and our results were declared. I was happy with the percentage I secured. However, I was also happy that my friend secured more than me she was in the merit list and I wasn't. I was really proud of my friend for her achievement and congratulated her on her success. We celebrated her accomplishment with a small party at my house. I was determined to do better in the future and worked hard to make sure I would be in the merit list the next time. I said it's okay, it happens.....I used to think that she is my best friend and will never ignore me despite my marks and my rank. However, I was wrong! My friend got so caught up in her success that she ignored me.

She started to hang out with her other friends who were also on the merit list and soon I was left out. I was really hurt and it made me realize that I was wrong in trusting her. I realized that success can change people and their attitude towards others. I learned to accept that not all friendships last forever and that I should appreciate the people who are there for me in tough times. In the end, she changed completely. She started avoiding me and ignoring me, and I was very badly hurt, but I did not confront her, and she has never turned back to me, even today. I don't know why people change when they get something better in their life. It's fine to change, but forgetting your childhood friends is the most awful gift anyone can expect on their birthday. We all change as we grow and gain more experiences, but it's important to remember where we came from. True friends don't forget each other, no matter how much time and distance separates them. We should all strive to maintain genuine relationships with our friends, no matter how much our lives may have changed. People should be more appreciative of what they have and who they have. It's not about the material possessions that matter, it's the relationships and memories that count. Cherish the people in your life and never forget them. Remember never hurt your childhood friend it remains as a wet hurt deep inside their heart. Everyone has a unique story, and we should always remember that. Appreciate the people who have been there for you, and never take them for granted. Show them your love, and always make sure they feel important.
