Sthitapragyan Mohanty

Sthitapragyan Mohanty was born in Baripada, in Odisha, son of a doctor and a homemaker. He studied Engineering Physics at IIT Bombay and later took another advanced degree in Journalism.

He began his career as an Entrepreneur, then worked for a year as a strategist at Mumbai and he is now running a social organisation, Save Humans for the welfare of the society.

He didn't start writing poetry until he was twenty-four -- at about time his scientific interests shifted to literature and art -- but since then he has been prolific.

Devoted to his writings as well as human society, he continued to pursue higher studies.

He is the poet who questions governance and raises voice for the poor, oppressive, and human rights.

His free verse style is quiet, modest, often anecdotal.
